Without any warning except for some cryptic posts on their Twitter, Ghostrunner — the OTHER cyberpunk, wall-running, time-bending, slasher video game we’ve all been drooling over — just dropped their demo on Steam (for free!).  But you’d better pick it up quick, as it’s only available until May 13th. A Classic Cyberpunk RPG Re-Imagined. Available exclusively on Sony Playstation. Final Fantasy VII Remake is quite possibly the best cyberpunk experience that you’ll have this year, at least until the eventual release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September

Modern mass media has created an idealized image of what a hero must look like: usually male, white, skinny but buff, pearly white teeth, full head of hair. The list goes on, crafting such a high and unrealistic criteria of perfection in order for anyone to feel good about themselves. 

What pops into your mind whenever you think of cyberpunk? A futuristic metropolis? Body augmentations? Government surveillance? Underneath a lot of neon luster, Katana Zero has all this and more.

Hyper Jam is what happens if you paint a Neon Synthwave sheen over Super Smash Brothers. With fast-paced, high-intensity action and constantly spawning items that can be thrown, its levels include punishing consequences if you step out of the arena.

It can take decades for something to become a cult classic. When it was released in 1994, System Shock was a commercial failure, despite widespread critical praise. Let’s find out why this cyberpunk horror flop is now so highly revered and has served as  inspiration for games like Deus Ex and BioShock. The remake is due later this year.

Uh oh. Claire “Grimes” Boucher might have spoiled some CyberPunk 2077 details in a live stream with fans earlier this week. Of course, this post may spoil a potential plot point for Cyberpunk 2077. You have been warned.

We’re pleased to let you know that the line of Cyberpunk 2077 Funko Pops have been announced. With four figures total (and a fifth, secret character), the distribution of characters is a little strange.   Funko has delivered two forms of the Keanu Reeves character, Johnny Silverhand.  This is great, as he’s the lead singer of Cyberpunk fan-favorite band, Samurai.   We wonder what other characters will be added, since the only options left are the male/female versions of V, the games’ protagonist.

On Saturday, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted a harmless and simple question to the NVIDIA Twitter account. Make no mistake, there had to be some coordination between the two accounts when it comes to this tease. The NVIDIA Twitter account responded quickly, leaving the world to squint their eyes at a purposely edited picture of a limited edition graphics card.

Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story was successfully funded on Kickstarter in June of 2018. It’s a narrative-driven adventure game inspired by horror and cyberpunk genre classics and currently slated for a Q1 2020 release.
