I'm a techno-optimist as well, and appreciate your fair-minded review of Ray Kurzweil's transhumanist/futurist philosophies. Ultimately I observe that we are headed towards a much higher standard of living, as history showcases is possible, through technological innovations and science.

In my opinion the most important skill that someone can possess these days is "technological literacy", which enables a person (as well as a community) to interface with modern communication tools with ease. When this begins to happen, the whole interconnectedness of humanity through language becomes apparent as our dominant reality.

Thank you for taking the time to write and publish this article. It's well written.

I was looking for a good display for a 3B+, and almost everything I saw was too expensive. Then I stumbled upon this article. Et voila! Turns out I had one of those dvd players! Mine has a broken charger and has been collecting dust for years now. I can probably get a charger, composite cable and a power bank under 30 bucks. Thanks!

Then you don’t understand the ‘punk’ in cyberpunk. But seeing as you are British, who lives in a caravan touring the isles with your dog. I can’t understand why you are so out of touch. British people can’t even carry a fucking butter knife around. Let alone say something that might hurt someone’s fee fees. Ask count Dankula.

Your article while well written. Honestly doesn’t tell me what I already know about sites like these. Hate speech using a thing, words do not hurt you. Why add a footnote telling “cyberpunkers” to report people for saying stupid shit? That goes against the very idea about punk and honestly makes me wonder why ever donated if it’s to support hack hasbeen journalists who shitpost. You are not cyberpunk, you are quite literally a poser. So by association this site must also be run by posers. I’ll look someplace else for people who actually understand what freespeech is and what it means Also fuck the UK gvmt and the queen who rules it.

What a fantastic read. The article is just as poetic as the photos themselves. One of the things I really like about the photos is that we're so used to seeing "kipple" in a dark and dingy monochromatic environment. So, seeing these colors that pop in white-walled rooms with sunshine breaking through is really refreshing. It actually brings an essence of hope to an otherwise bleak landscape. You can't escape the kipple, we're doomed to succumb to it, but maybe we can make it beautiful.

Hey, I've been making a cyberpunk comic on INKR (Similar app, has ton of licensed content), it's called Aqua Regia, it's based on a dystopia in which Argentina never got saved from the dictatorship. So far it's 6 chapters in.
It's a little rough in art, but I've been told is has a very punk feel to it when it comes to aesthetics. If you guys want to check one from a latino perspective, it's all yours free to read!

Yea. If they have ur name, they could correlate that with the address. Assuming the package is within relative driving distance, they could at least triangulate your position and unless ur full name is ridiculously common, you'll be found. It is the most anonymous method tho, unless you have a dummy address somehow, or someone to accept the package for you. Or, unless ur off the grid.

Should definitely get that idea going tho. If you want any help on the business side of things, I'd love to help tbh. Rn Amazon has a lock on that, and they don't need to have control over another market.

In reply to <a href="https://www.cyberpunks.com/riot-games-seraphine-looks-like-sara-phinn/#comment-21120">Gina</a>.

This article can't to my mind as well as I had just read it a few weeks ago and at first I thought this article was covering the same girl from the pcgamer article. I will agree both girls share eery resembleness to the character. Certain screenshots of the character more closely resemble the Sara from this article, while other screen shots more closely resemble the girl from the pcgamer article. I think the research that cyberpunks.com uncovered of anime and video game characters whose not only appearance but name also closely resemble the overwatch character and are from 5+ years ago just proves that these girls may not be as original as they claim. You may think you're being original but many don't realize that their creativeness borrows off images that's been stored in your subconscious. A cutesy, pale skin, pink hair, girl is not that far fetched as I know females personally who are petite, pale skin, and die their hair pink. The shape under the eye is also nothing new as just about any girl who takes a selfie on snapchat or instagram use filters that add shapes and characters to their face many times being under their eyes. Most artwork I see nowadays also adds such shapes under the characters eyes. Did overwatch deliberately steal likeness from these two girls specifically? I doubt it, I think the artists who created this character probably has watched alot of anime and played alot of anime in their years and although we can't remember ever character we come across, but borrowed traits from all of these characters pulled from their subconscious without them even realizing it. The same goes for the name, the girl from this article admitted for reasons unknown to us that her name is fictious, but often times when trying to come up for a name for a personal your concious will connect the dots for you without even knowing it. So with so many pink hair characters named saraphinne, saraphinne, that Sara phine is not that far fetched either. Another point is try coming up with a petite, pale skin, pink hair, character that does not somewhat resemble any of these Sara's. It may be harder than you think and there's only so much you can do to differentiate a character from anything else that has ever been created. We live in a world with artistic freedom whether it's with your personal looks, artwork, or animation and for about 40-50 years now many have strived to create something new and unique now leaving very few stones un-turned. Just like how normal people that no one has ever heard of coincidentally resemble a pop culture character whether it's from a movie, tv show, book, or game, we do have 7 billion people on this planet who have create a unique personality for themselves, the human body only has so many characteristics so it's pretty common for two people to look like each other or a character you created to resemble someone you never seen before. So no I think these girls have no right to say or sue riot games because a character they have somewhat resembles themselves, especially with examples from years prior to the creation of their persona also resembles in name and likeness. I see no harm in the coincidence either. If anything it will just give them more exposure, but to say it's harming their image? No way, that just gives off the vibe that they are self entitled believing they are owed something just because of a few similar traits that are not uncommon in our culture, only speaking up for attention. Otherwise anyone who looks like anyone would be crying for a payout, hell I get told I look like MGK because of my tattoos and hair style that I've had since 2008 and I've never went to the news to complain about it. These girls need to grow up and realize that it you want to make something of yourself it's going to take hard work and dedication, dressing up and taking pictures of yourselves might get you by when your young but it won't bring you world wide recognition, fame, or riches. You got to set yourself apart from everything else and put in dedication and hard work to achieve that.

As for this young man time traveling, a
Couple years ago I saw a purple rainbow flower entering the atmospere. ..ozone. I’m not knowledgeable about the layers. But I did see it and I knew in my 6th sense it was time traveler.
Everything is possible with God, nothing without. Who are we to even try to gain his vast knowledge or question it.
Please know the most important thing in time or no time is where our soul and the thing is we are sinners. Jesus died for us as we sinned and still sin.we believe in him and what he has done for us, our fathers divine love.Do not look away but to him. Science doesnt save our souls Jesus Christ does.

However if she can prove without a doubt that she was the inspiration then cool I'm wrong but I'm Mexican and have long hair and look like Victor from Smoke signals but I don't claim to be him or be the inspiration I just happen to have similar characteristics. Well, I've had the Covid recently, so that wasn't great. Creeping middle age? Male pattern baldness? An occasional yet overwhelming sense of ennui and apathy? Lactose intolerance? Gallbladder issues? Recent onset cat allergies? Periodic episodes of panic at the fleeting nature of human existence, the incomprehensible vastness of the universe, and really - what is the point of it all, when you get right down to it?

Nothing major, but you're free to take your pick from the list.

What's wrong with you, Pal?

I thought pizza hut already had a bid on moon land for when we colonize, and Japan was going to colonize first? Or maybe that news was from one of the parallel realities I inhabited a short time? Like the one where we had a quantum physicist running for president? As far as gender pronouns, I think these kids are starseed from various neighboring planets and at least one of them must host androgynous life. So they come here and " gender bend" our rules...yes I am gen X . We're not apathetic just suicidal. We've been in this dense reality longer and perhaps a little disillusioned by now. Also more than Phillip K. Dick , who is fucking excellent, what about William Gibson?
What's the difference between a CGI model vs. a real model who has had their body physically modified through surgery/makeup/diet, then digitally retouched for color, shape, proportions, lighting, etc etc etc?

Second, if the outrage is that a real black female isn't making the money, but rather a white male, shouldn't there be equal outrage that modeling and marketing agencies are ending up with the majority of capital from their use of models?

The point I'm absolutely *not* decrying is the inequality of workers in an industry due to racial, cultural, etc etc differences - I very much agree that the diversity of humans is not represented fairly across essentially all industries.

I only wished to point out the "unrealness" of models in media in general, and contrast the article against that.

It is so amazing that how much effort and work, these game developers have to put in to make a masterpiece like Cyberpunk 2077. They have been working for almost a decade and they now feel that the game is finally ready to be launched later this year. People's expectations from all over the world are really high with this upcoming RPG and when we see its trailers and read about its features, we all get excited to play this game as soon as we can. I hope that there won't be any further delays in its release after a long topsy turvy road to its launch and it will not disappoint its large number of fans worldwide when it will be released in November 2020.

I was only 6 when Neuromancer was released, so it totally passed me by until I was about 20 or so. By that time I'd gorged myself on as much Cyberpunk anime and film as I could find. Everything from GitS to Robocop, Cyber City Odeo 808 to The Matrix. So by the time I got to Neuromancer it felt very familiar. But each of those works owe a huge debt to the Cyberpunk fiction that preceded them.

And you're spot on Connor, it's importance shouldn't be forgotten, but unfortunately I do see a lot of comparisons against the tropes it helped define. And where newer Cyberpunk media moves past these tropes, it's often judged as not being Cyberpunk.
Cyberpunk is the oddest genre in that retrospect. I've never seen a community more at odds as to what does and doesn't define its own body of work.

Nevertheless, it's still the genre that I love more than any other. Hopefully fledgling Cyberpunks can continue to push it forward.

Sex is a huge part of life. Sexuality permeates much of what we do as social animals and yet it is conspicuously absent from VR? Plenty of sex in pancake games so why not in VR. I enjoy porn but I want something that provides emotional interaction. I think a game that provided the normal options in real life but in a fantastic alternate reality would be amazing. Some fantastical options as well would be good but the normal options should not be edited out of our experience. Animated avatars need to have realistic language and mannerisms so communication is possible but personality should reflect peoples fantasies. If what men want is degrading to women, well what women want, what they find romantic is dangerous, harmful for men. A coward may die a thousand deaths but they were all, each and every one the real death of some hero. This anti-sex creed is sick and being that sex is not an optional activity can only result in harm.

Thanks for the feedback, gang. We did overlook a rogue text block and some editing issues. This has been addressed.

If you're interested, email us at info@cyberpunks.com, and we'll send you a thank-you sticker!

We'd also like to reassure anyone who thinks a rogue AI, bad actor (Jeff Fahey?), or the Lawnmower Man himself may have made this mistake. It was just CyberPunks.com staff. Nothing to see here.

Shows over folks. Move along. <3
