What a time to be alive. No literally, people around the world are dying from COVID-19, so if we are alive right now, we are lucky. Although honestly, life is a gift, so any day we are alive should be counted as lucky. But something truly remarkable is happening right now. All around the world, we are experiencing a collective feeling and thought process while practicing self-quarantine.

So . . . these guys at RoboRazer in Kiev wanted to make a uniquely cyberpunk knife in honor of the release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September of this year. Much like the mantis-blades from the cyberpunk lore, the blade on the Inertix lies in hiding. I must disagree with their marketing team, though, as the knife appears less like “a space shuttle of the future” and more like the key-fob to my steampunk airship.

Comic reading has been around for decades, but a new app has changed the game. Line Webtoons is a digital comic reading app…

Uh oh. Claire “Grimes” Boucher might have spoiled some CyberPunk 2077 details in a live stream with fans earlier this week. Of course, this post may spoil a potential plot point for Cyberpunk 2077. You have been warned.

We’re pleased to let you know that the line of Cyberpunk 2077 Funko Pops have been announced. With four figures total (and a fifth, secret character), the distribution of characters is a little strange. Funko has delivered two forms of the Keanu Reeves character, Johnny Silverhand. This is great, as he’s the lead singer of Cyberpunk fan-favorite band, Samurai. We wonder what other characters will be added, since the only options left are the male/female versions of V, the games’ protagonist.

And when the inevitable finally comes to pass, what then? Do I get a puppy? Do I get another shelter dog? I want a dog as much like my current dog as possible, so it’s an option to get his genes sampled and find out exactly what blend of the 57 varieties he actually is. And then I can simply find another one. What if I could have a dog who would never die? One who would never get old and frail and ill, and habitually balance on that knife edge of life and death as I will him not to go into the light?

It’s safe to say that none of our readership believes in Santa Claus. Our faith in a big, jolly man propelled around the globe by a fleet of supersonic herbivores, belongs to a time in our lives when cyberpunk was a fantastical literary genre, rather than the surveillance capitalism based society in which we live our humdrum everyday lives.

Maybe we shouldn’t complain. Life with Google and Microsoft will probably be cleaner and healthier than life under Renraku or Genom. But as time goes on and technology becomes increasingly powerful, it’s fairly likely that powerful corporations will ironically play a diminished role in our lives.

The eRosary’s beads are flawless, black agate and hematite, resembling nothing quite so much as a USB stick and symbolizing, “the ever enduring human faith.” It also has a step counter…

For our first installment of this column, we’d like to introduce our home 3-D Printing lab, which occupies the corner table and a few buckets of filament nearby. We’re working on upgrading to a dedicated cabinet and installing a second unit; that’s how bullish we are on this new technology. That’s not to say that our setup isn’t absolutely “for dummies.” If we can do it, so can you.
